μMVR™: Micro Invasive Mitral Valve Replacement

LSI Technology Platform & Microinvasive Techniques

μMVR™ procedures are performed through small bone sparring intercostal incisions to facilitate an ergornomic and controlled approach to mitral valve replacement. Specialized instruments and customized technology can enable a truly less invasive surgery, without compromising the safety, precision, or effectiveness of the outcome.

FOR PATIENTS

Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) is a surgical procedure to remove a damaged or malfunctioning mitral valve and replace it with a mechanical or tissue-based prosthetic valve.

Less invasive MVR uses smaller incisions in the chest wall to reduce surgical trauma, minimize postoperative pain, shorten hospital stays and support a faster recovery without compromising surgical outcomes.

Microinvasive techniques are designed to deliver long-lasting results while minimizing surgical trauma.

The RAM® µMVR™ approach uses small incisions between the ribs, helping avoid damage to bone and cartilage. Advanced technologies developed by LSI further reduce invasiveness, offering surgeons more options to optimize outcomes and enhance the recovery experience for patients.
